Through grants from the Colorado Historical Society and with our own resources, WPI has been able to study six different water supplies of the Ancestral Pueblo people (also called Anasazi) who lived in Southwestern Colorado until about A.D. 1300. Five of the sites studied were located in Mesa Verde National Park and one was in Hovenweep National Monument. Click here for a summary.
WPI was privileged to have assistance from some of the finest experts in southwestern archaeology and other related fields.
